VANCOUVER, British Columbia, August 13, 2020 (Newswire.com) – The Gaming Stadium and Daily Hive, Canada’s leading hyperlocal online news source, have entered a game-changing partnership to propel the development of Canadian esports. As part of the deal, the two companies are launching The Daily Hive Signature Series, an exciting 12-month celebration of all-things esports.
To kick off the Signature Series, The Gaming Stadium and Daily Hive will be hosting a Valorant tournament taking place Aug. 22 and 23. It’s free to enter and has a $2,000 CAD prize pool.
“I’ve been following Daily Hive from its inception, and it’s exciting to partner with another Vancouver-based company to bring esports to an international audience,” said Spiro Khouri, CEO of The Gaming Stadium. “Not only are we making our events bigger and better together, the Series offers a unique opportunity for our partners to reach the massive combined audience of TGS and Daily Hive. Our event later this month is the first in what will surely be a series of fierce and exciting competitions – a huge win for all involved.”
As Daily Hive’s gaming partner, The Gaming Stadium will use its production expertise to generate top-notch gaming content in addition to events to help companies build their audiences and put a bigger spotlight on Canadian esports. The content will be featured on Daily Hive’s Vancouver channel, and its sports-focused Offside vertical.
“We are excited to bring increased esports content to our mass audience,” says Manny Bahia, Co-founder and CRO of Daily Hive. “The Gaming Stadium has brought the excitement of competitive gaming to the forefront in Canada and we are looking forward to this partnership to amplify esports to the mainstream. We are aiming to foster our relationship with our audience who are currently gamers and attract more gamers to the TGS platform.”
The Daily Hive Signature Series will feature a different game and game community each month. Entry into the contest is open to any resident of North America. To register, please visit: https://www.tgsesports.gg/event/tgs-signature-series-featuring-valorant/2020-08-22
