The weather isn’t the only thing that’s heating up! The Gaming Stadium has big events planned for August. This coming month we are transitioning away from our smaller weekly events, to larger–scaled monthly tournaments that will have bigger prize pools and stream productions. These events will provide players with more time to prepare, the chance to compete for bigger prizes, and the opportunity to be featured on our streams and highlights.
Below you can find all the events we have planned for August, including details about the dates, prize pools, and links to the event pages.
Note: All events are posted in PDT, prize pool and entry fees are in CAD.
August 16 @ 12 PM: Rocket League, Standard 3v3
Think you have a strong enough team to take on all of North America? Prove it here in our first online event in the Standard trios format! Solo players are more than welcome to sign up, as we will form teams from the pool of registered single players. With a $500 prize pool, this will be one of our biggest Rocket League events to date!
August 22-23 @ 10 AM: Valorant, Presented by Daily Hive
In collaboration with Daily Hive, we bring to you our brand-new tournament program: the TGS Signature Series! To learn more about the series, read our news post. To kick things off, we will be having a free entry two-day Valorant tournament with prize pool of $2000!
August 29 @ 2 PM: Fortnite Trios
TGS’s first Arena trio customs tournament! Take on players from all over North America (West) and compete for the $1000 prize pool! Solo players are also encouraged to sign up, as we will be pairing single players together to form teams.
August 30 @ 11 AM: Stack Sports FIFA Open
TGS has once again partnered up with Stack Sports; this time bringing you the FIFA Open. This event will support both PS4 and Xbox One players and offers a $200 prize pool per console. Show us your fancy footwork and what your team can put out!
In addition to our main events for the month, there are weekly in-houses held on our community Discord! These are going to be friendly weeklies for the community to get together, relax, and play games. Our weekly schedule will follow:
- Monday @ 7PM – Valorant
- Thursday @ 5PM – League of Legends
- Sunday @ 6PM – CS:GO (held on the FACEIT Hub)
